Equilzer owner here, and it's a good hitch, but on that size trailer, check out the new Anderson hitch for your needs. Google the topic and read a bunch. Good solution for those with small trailers and the need for something simple.
You said you don't want something complicated to set up, and I don't know what you consider "complicated", but the Equilizer and Dual Cam require some thought and effort to set up correctly. Once that's done, they're both good choices. The Anderson is much simpler and might suit you better considering the size of your trailer.
