Thanks, and as I said I made them just because I thought having the amount of play in the "L" pin didn't make sense ... It wasn't to fix any real issue and I'm an ultimate tinkerer and enjoy fixing things that don't look like they really need fixing. If one does this I would recommend making the shims out of SS and to use a file and really square up the square hole in the "L" bracket so the shim fits very snug and makes full contact. Also, if you didn't notice don't forget the little touch like the chains on the shims and it's attachment to the new "L" pin holding clip. After all the fitting and filing you don't want to loose any of those shims.
