What does the rumor say they will use to replace it?
There has to be an anti-knock additive. Tetra-Ethyl lead can not be used. I don't remember what the first thing that replaced the lead was, but it turned out to be nearly as poisonous as the lead.
I'll believe the alcohol will go away when I see it happen.
