Even brake problem

Anyone experienced a problem with the Even brake not releasing all the way? Have an '08 HHR and replaced the brakes now 3 times and turned rotors twice before replacing today. Sometimes the red light comes on when braking but doesn't go off. Thought it was a problem with the communication between the remote and the box, but maybe not. Think I might sell the thing on eBay and try something else.
