I've lost 2 passenger side mirrors, but not due to hitting anything. I tow with an Expedition that has the turn signals under the mirrors, and I have a problem finding an extension mirror that will stay secured on the passenger side. One, the straps came undone while I was traveling 50 MPH on a 2 lane road with nothing around. The grass was tall, the shoulder was narrow, and I couldn't get turned around in enough time to know where it happened, so I just had to leave it. Happened again with another brand with a different fastening style a couple of years later.
