Excursion overheats&leaks tranny fl towing going 50,uphill

You'de be wise to get some type of scanner that can read trans temps. I'm betting it running hot due to something external of the trans. Plugged cooler or something along those lines! And yes I think there is an inline Thermostat for the trans cooler. If it fails it could be stuck in recirculate where it never runs through the coolers.

My V-10 tows 9200lbs just fine. It's trans temps are around 185 when towing, even in hot weather!
