Looks like the Heng's Upgrade would really fit my needs. I'm looking at the squirrel cage model similar to one I have at home on my over-the-range model that's built in under the micro wave.
Now, if I can only navigate through their website. I agree their website needs to hire a better webmaster.

I just did this upgrade about a month ago. I should point out that there is only one model fan box to upgrade a Ventline or a Hengs range hood. The Ventline is an easy upgrade because the existing fan box can be unscrewed and the Sam-1 fanbox screws back into the existing holes - plug and play. Upgrading the Hengs is much more complicated because the fanbox is spot welded into the hood. I had drill out something like 24 spot welds and cut some of the sheet metal to fit the Sam-1 box in. Once done it's a very nice upgrade it's quiet, has 3 speeds and the light is a huge improvement but be prepared for some significant work to install it if you have a Hengs range hood.
