I never take the top or bottom reviews with much weight. I look for the consistant items that get mentioned. And while I would agree that I might bump down a rating due to noise even with a large event like the Derby, I dont think it would result in the worst rating. But mention it that the park admins did nothing to try and quiet things down when it got late.
I think the most amusing review I read was not on the mentioned site but on google. Someone gave an ocean front campground a poor rating because the ocean was too loud claiming they should put up a fence or sound barrier. Now if you ask me, I stay at an ocean front campground to hear the ocean, not find its mute button.
