I agree that the current interface isn't terribly modern, but there definitely is a search function. At the top of the Home page, there is a link labeled Campground Search. That will bring you to a search page that will permit you to search all reviews for specific terms (including cities, names, or text from a review) or search for parks within a specified distance of a particular city.
The new interface should permit users to search for parks by franchise name (Jellystone, KOA, etc), by attributes (with swimming pools, over-55, etc) and combinations of these sorts of things.
