Some people just aren't going to be happy, no matter what. Any time I read reviews, I take that into account.
There is a line from a TV show (I think it was Daniel Boon) "He'd complain if they hung him with a new Rope"
You are right, some people are only happy when they are unhappy, The seem to feel they have an OBLIGATION to complain, complain, complain.
Now: As to the O/P's question: This is what I expect when I pull into an RV park:
A place to park with either 30 or 50 amps of Electric (Depending on either the park or what I pay for) and depending on the park, Water, Sewer and Wi-Fi. I do not expect swimming pools or other amenities though it's nice when they are there and in good condition.
I also expect a measure of security,, but take few chances.
IF temps are freezing, I'd not fault the park for giving good advice. (Disconnect or leave gray valve open and let water flow... Slowly... Depending on the depth of the freeze).
So the bottom line is if I have to "Adapt" it is always upward.
Bit like a comic strip.. Patient to doctor "I think I have (Serious condition that will be fatal, I forget what)"
Doctor: No, you only have (Minor condtition that will heal itself and not bother you again, once more I forget what)".
Doctor: What mad you think you had (The bad one)?
Patient: I like to expect the worst that way I am pleasantly surprised.
Now if I were paying 100/night Or even 50/night, I'd be raising my expectations a mite (I pay an average of less than 6.00/night full timing)
