Explorer Sport Trac not comming out of neutral tow

I tow a 2005 Sport Trac and normally when I disconnect form the motorhome I turn the key off and put the transmission in park so that the neutral tow disengages. Recently it has been hanging up in neu...

On my F150 and previously on my Ranger, I have to turn the key ON
, then move the shifter to Park. Need to have the key on to provide power to the xfer case shift motor
