I just turned 60, never bought an extended warranty on anything.
Even the WORSE car I ever owned, a 1974 FIAT...which you likely will NVER see being driven on a public road because it's true FIAT means "Fix It Again Tony"!
Our 4 current cars are all new KIA's with 100,000 mile warranties.
The #1 non-profit consumer advocate group says don't waste your money!
The odds are you’ll never need the coverage, and even if you do, the money you’ll save in repairs won’t come close to what you paid for the added warranty.
A recent Consumer Reports survey found that 55 percent of owners who purchased an extended warranty hadn’t used it for repairs during the lifetime of the policy, even though the median price paid for the coverage was just over $1,200. And, on average, those who did use it spent hundreds more for the coverage than they saved in repair costs.
And J.D. Powers says "keep your money in the bank rther than wasting it on a nebulous extended warranty!"
It comes very close to fraud and flim flam, smoke and mirrors. Especially when a extended warranty is rejected due the the tiny print on the contract AND legal language that heavily biased against you!
US World and News Reports also researched this subject and noted the poor value of extended warranties.
Instead..send that $3000.00 you would have spent on a useless warranty to...
