- coolbreeze01ExplorerCould you tell they were upside down by just looking at them? Wondering if mine are right side up.
- mountainbornExplorerRepairs to my external speakers are completed. And I noted an installer issue that caused the speakers to leak inside of the trailer. The speakers are designed so that should the weatherproof cone be broken any water couldn't come through to the inside. This feature was defeated by the installer that had put the speakers in upside down !

I don't think you could live in any apartment building I've been in...
So, we can't
- make noise
- have dogs that pee and poop
- turn on lights
- have a fire that smokes
- have kids that do things kids do
Now I know why camping is sooooooo much fun :) :) :)
You can do ANY of those things during quiet hours (excepting
the pet poop)
THAT will land it back on your porch) Seriously, in 13 years fulltiming I've had to do this 8 times, all "stuff" within my site. Imagine their surprise? When they thought that "quiet time" exempted their precious pooches :)
There are posted quiet hours in most campgrounds Those posted hours are there for a reason. If you wish to make significant noise between the "after" times, go somewhere else or shut down the noise.
I am in no way a contentious person. A "live and let live" lifestyle pervades, but I will not allow you to encroach. Ever.
And live in an apartment building? Please kill me now!! - hotbyteExplorerI don't think you could live in any apartment building I've been in...

Apparently common courtesy is something you haven't heard of either. Just as in an apartment building, I wouldn't want to hear your music.Pirate wrote:
I would like to personally shoot the folks that designed RV's with external speakers. You noise should not leave the confines of your camp site. If it does, you are invading my space. I would like find a portable EMP device so I can disable all the electronics on stupid people to think they can play their outside speakers and tv's without regard for their neighbors noise privacy.
Invading your space? NOW, I've heard it all. Lord help the person that sneezes near you. - kennethwoosterExplorerIf one that I was looking at had outside speakers I would not buy it. Just as extra toy that I do not need our want. I would never want to disturb a neighbor.
- 2500HDeeExplorerI loved sitting under the awning next to the river this weekend during a rainstorm playing cards and listening to music quietly with my friends. There was no one else within earshot because I choose to camp in areas where people are not nearby. If I wanted to be around people I would choose differently as some others do and that is fine. But to say that there should be no external speakers is silly.
Also to get all worked up about "noise pollution" when the original post is about water damage due to a leaking speaker is hilarious.
Thanks OP for posting this, I never even thought about making sure the speakers were sealed properly. I have checked roof accessories and windows but not the speakers. Now they are on my list. This is why we have forums. - noplace2Explorer

My 'C' came from the factory with an outside "entertainment" center. I've never opened it in 10 years, so I looked.
Two speakers, a phone jack, 2 outlets to plug in more speakers, a 12v power plug, antenna connection and (2) 120V outlets.
Oh sure, now that you've discovered it, you're going to bother everyone around you for the next year! :B - Jim_ShoeExplorerMy 'C' came from the factory with an outside "entertainment" center. I've never opened it in 10 years, so I looked.

If I wanted to live outside, I would have bought a tent. - 2012ColemanExplorer IIWow - a post about a leak being traced to an external speaker degrades into bellyaching about noise pollution in less than 2 pages! Gotta love the consistency here.
