It's not a big deal to have it painted. Don't need to go to a marine shop. A good epoxy primer/sealer followed by a base coat/clear coat automotive paint will take care of it. Your biggest problem will be finding someone with a large enough paint booth. Had mine done where they paint semi trucks and buses. There is no other way to correct this problem. Many of the manufacturers have gone to painted caps as opposed to color infused gel-coat. If you have a fiberglass molded rear cap that it won't be long before that goes also. It can be painted for somewhere between $900.00 and $1500.00. Any more than that and they are charging too much. I had one quote for $8,000.00...needless to say I won't be going back there..ever.
