Having owned 2 FF's on previous RV's, I'll still take the MaxxAir MaxxFan that I spec'd when I bought the Tiger over 7 years ago.. Can be open, running or off, parked or driving, in any weather, and has a lower profile either open or shut.
That looks like a good setup, but crikey $300?
I'm looking to replace the bathroom fan with a better one and was going to add a vent cover so we could run it when it rains.
That is what I thought too. I found a better and much cheaper way by using The Hengs Vortex Fan It is a simple install, just take out the screen and slide this in, no opening up the roof or having to reseal it.
And you use the existing 12 volt wire that your old fan used. The instructions are very easy to follow.
Much cheaper, less work and I put a Maxx Air cover over it so it can stay open.
I used PPl for an example there may be cheaper ones out there just shop around, I put the 5 speed one in my bathroom and it works great.
