That is the golden nugget of truth right there. If you're happy with the deal, it's a good deal. The posturing you'll find on here is almost hilarious sometimes. If the deal is within your previously-established limit (you did establish that prior to contacting the seller, right? ;)), then it's a good deal....enjoy the ride.

ok now that you told us more,, if your fine with the deal ? go for it,enjoy your new rv.

I always get a laugh on these types of threads where someone figures they can get a much better deal than you have negotiated. People need to remember that there is not nearly the profit or mark up margin on used that there is for new so the dealer is not going to give 35% off the asking price on that unit like they may for new.

As long as the unit is in really nice shape with little or no wear and no damage (especially water damage) and you are in the Ballpark for NADA value then go for it. If you need any accessories (electrical adapters, etc) you could probably get those thrown in the deal to make you feel better about sealing the deal!

Yes the unit is very clean, does not looked used ( like stains , dirty carpet ) I did tell them I would be a buyer closer to 40k, they said they just could not do that, and I understand they are in the business to make money not lose money. And I understand that ,( just don't want to be the person that ver pays ) people should not think they are going to get something for free. I just told them I have been looking around and truth be told so far 47k with slide toppers added is not off base from what I have seen so far. Just I did not know what slide topper cost and wanted to make sure I was in the ball park with the price. I have bought enough new and used RV,s before and when I have bought new its worse than a used car as for lose of value quick
so I figured with a 2 or 3 year old unit the first buyer took the bath ( I hope ) and has worked out the bugs, or at least I hope its not the reason they got rid of it..

It's real easy for someone sitting in their easy chair to tell you that a price on something they have never laid their eyes on is too expensive and you should just negotiate a better price or move on. The fact is you are one doing research on that particular unit. You have seen the condition, you have made the decision whether or not it is the right rig for you. If it is the Fifth Wheel you want a few hundred or even a few thousands of dollars isn't going to make a difference over the long run. Go into our new RV happy.

well you know how it goes I have found other dealers on line in other states with listing around 59k for a 2012, same unit. but asking price is asking price they always start high, which was 59k here too and being its a trade in I know they beat up the guy trading it in. but its winter and I am sure sales are slow. I am up north right now. sale price is 49k, I got them to 47 and installing 3 slide toppers for the 47 k , so ya lowered 2k plus adding in 3 slide toppers
