Fiberglass trailer with temperatures in single digits?

So, I pull into a service plaza on the Ohio Turnpike and see a Casita (maybe Scamp) in the RV lot. Outside temp gauge reads 9 degrees (Fahrenheit). These people must be nuts, I think to myself...

They were probably pretty snug in there. We had a different brand fiberglass trailer and it was very easy to keep warm. Very little heat loss due to the design and not many cubes to heat up. Pretty close quarters to deal with very long.
