Fiberglass trailer maintenance

I have used 303 and wax , to me the wax is higher gloss and lasts about 2 to 4 weeks longer, I still use 303 on tires and seals, and wax on the rest

Is the 303 aerospace a wax? Do you use it in place of wax. A spray on wax seems like the simplest to me. Do I need to avoid the decals with that product? My previous trailer had decal problems and it was a pain!

If your TT is white do not use a wax with carnuba added.Long periods in the sun may give it a yellow cast.I have 3 gelcoated fiberglass toys and I use Mothers marine wax only.

The single best thing you can do (but may be the hardest) is to keep it out of the sun light as much as possible.

I use Starbrite Marine Polish. I apply a coat in the spring and fall and use automotive wash for cleaning. I have used this system on both boats and trailers for many years. In northern areas where the sun is not as harsh you may be able to get by with once a year.

Can't recall the product name, but one of the better waxes like Maguire's or such and is specifically made for use with a buffer. The extreme caution here is not to use the buffer on the decals. The product DH used was so easy to just wipe off with a towel and then used the buffer on the larger open areas. 303 is very popular and has great reviews. Especially good for the areas getting a lot of sun. Time?, plan on most of the day and if you dare to stop and rest midway, figure another day. BTW, this is the perfect time to double check all the caulk and other misc things that might need attention. Have fun!
