I found a Ford technical service bulletin for an older year on lowering the box height. They would remove a 4" block between the axle and leaf springs and replace it with a 2 inch block. It looks fairly simple -> new block, new u-bolts, shocks, etc (makes me think the ~$500 guess if close). The service service bulletin said that some trucks don't have the block at all and it could be added to gain height. However, the service bulletin didn't say if the block could be removed completely to drop the rear end a full 4". Anyone know?
Thanks
Dan
ps - I checked and my trailer leaf springs already sit on top of my trailer axles.
