My gripe is people who knowingly move into an area under HOA regulations then decide that restrictions against parking an RV in their driveway just does not apply to them. As a board member of an HOA, I'm frequently having to 'send in the lawyers' to make the resident comply with what they had agreed to when they put their signature on their closing papers. Some are just not people of their word. Our particular development allows parking behind your fence (but this requires adding an RV driveway and a gate). Some complain that they cannot afford that cost...seems to me if you want an RV, you need to include the cost of storing it properly in your budget. If you want to do only as you please, just don't buy in an HOA development. There are those of us who find the restrictions reasonable and of value.
