Strangely enough my gauges seem to not only work pretty well but are fairly accurate (2004 Gulfstream Innsbruck).
The only time my gauges gave me a known false reading is when we were camping in freezing weather and a layer of ice formed on the inside of the tank causing the gauge to read 3/4. Once it warmed up it went back to normal.
