Finding gas stops - any tricks?

I have no trouble admitting that a truck driver pulling a tanker is far better trained and more experience than me! That said, they are getting in and out of the lots - not in and out of the pumps. At many stations, that does make a dramatic difference.

I can't use satellite imagery on the roads as readily as I will be driving alone. Thus, I think I will head some of the above advice and attempt to pre-plan most of my stops via satellite images so that it is simply not a concern. With 2 stops each day, I can easily plan those and probably save significant time of hunting once I'm there.
