Click on the tab to view all the pictures and you will see just how far down to the ground it burnt! Nothing but a frame left not even any substantial debris. You wouldn't have been able to tell it was even a MH. :( - JJBIRISHExplorerNothing funny about the fire but reading just below the still photo of the rig engulfed it says,

Did you read the rest of the Rockford news? Shootings, stabbings, beatings?
Ya, but that`s only near the low income downtown area. the state park area is nice. they've really changed the downtown area. it used to be very run down. now it is extremely nice with a beautiful river walk and plenty of concerts and fairs. - tatestExplorer IIDid you read the rest of the Rockford news? Shootings, stabbings, beatings?
- dodge_guyExplorer III`m within 45 minutes of the state park. I didn`t see nothing on the news about it. very sad. just pulled in for the weekend, getting setup, then............weekend over in 5 minutes!
Terrible! - carpetguy2ExplorerLucky it didn't catch the forest on fire.Being so dry now.
It is a nice state park with a nice lake and beach - Campfire_TimeExplorer

So..where is this place?
North central, IL, a few miles north of Rockford. Very nice park. - mockturtleExplorer IISo..where is this place?
- rockhillmanorExplorer IIThey are nothing more than wood framed, with particle board everywhere else wrapped inside and out with plastic. 'Some' have metal studs but that certainly doesn't offer any more safety from fire.
That's why when we look at these pictures ALL that is left is the metal frame it sits on. And in the case of the metal studded ones you might see those still standing.
Add a big gas tank and a propane tank to the mix and poof, they burn to the ground in seconds.
