As I recall, they get a location assigned to them. After the second year they are able to request a location. The tent is up and tables and any display items are delivered with the stock when they arrive. They lay out how they want the tent set up. They get a register and everyday a person collects the days sales in an envelope. They are signed and sealed and not opened and counted till after the tent sale is complete. They count every item delivered, and when the sale is done they inventory all remaining items and they are packed up and picked up by the company. So every night they have a small bank of money, no large accumulation is left on hand. Shortly after the sale ends they are invited to some place local to open the envelopes and do the accounting. All above board and honest. They get paid and if certain goals are met they get a bonus. I was told the amount to sell to get a bonus is easy to hit. They are very pleased with the company and the money they make for the short amount of time involved. It is work, selling anything, but it pays well. They have been working in Michigan.

Have a friend that has done the fireworks sales for the past 3 years. They work about 10 days and have to pay out of their profit any employees, but everything else it handled by the fireworks company. They stay on site in their rv for security and being there for the sales. They have made as much as 6 grand clear for the 10 days and as little as $4,500, I guess weather and location does make a difference. I have not heard yet how they did this year as this is the 4th year for them. At the end of the sales time all inventory is picked up along with the sales proceeds and about 30 days later their final check comes once all the items and sales are accounted for.
WOW,, i did not see this post till after i had responded to post below..
6 grand for 10 days abit 24hr days is still not bad. any idea where these guys work.. ie city etc..
I guess they get a chance to check inventory before they start? how do they keep up with sales, cash registrar, cash box etc. any worries with theft or hold up? do they have to provide money for change and how they do credit/debit cards ..
think they might like to share the experience here.. ??
