Just a quick update before bed. It's not really late yet, and I probably won't be able to sleep yet, anyway. Today started out with finding the fridge, which had run all night was still not cooling at all. Quick decision to start the ice maker (yes, we're spoiled!)and "eat hardy, me laddies!" Got the thawed stuff out of freezer and cleaned out. Put what had to be saved in the cooler and will add ice as it becomes available. Best garage sale buy, maybe ever, was a small, cooler-sized refrigerator, 12volt. This fills in with essentials like milk, etc.
So we left Radium Springs about 11:30 this morning and had a very pleasant drive over here in about six hours. I only go about 60-65, for mileage and we had a nice lunch stop with our trucker buddies at a Love's truck stop. I'm always amazed at how you can be boogieing down the highway, in the same old, same old scenery, then round a curve and you could be on another planet. The contrasts in geography astound me! Much more vegetation here between Tuscon and Phoenix, than in New Mexico.
When we pulled in to the park, here, it was dark, so we just pulled into our site and hooked up the power for hot water. We will wake up in wonderland tomorrow, I'm sure! Off to bed after in wind a bit. Safe traveling, everyone! God bless!
