Ok,that worked so I will continue.
We've had an eventful few days. Satuday last, I went, alone to the Sunset trail here at this park. Walked about four miles, as the crow flies and according to the map. HOWEVER, my smart phone registered over 12,000 steps, which to my mind and feet feels more like the six miles I actually walked. Now granted, my stride was shortened, but each short step was either up or down, requiring me to,lift my body weight up or down accordingly! To me that counts as a full stride! The last mile (3) of the trail was much steeper and I decided to forego that pleasure/torture until another day.
Sunday we visited a Southern Baptist church nearby, and wouldn't you know, they were having a meal! Well, you may or may not know, but we LOVE Mexican food and because of where we are located we very much enjoyed the real enchilada, so to speak! What a grand time we had. Later that evening we had more wind than I have experienced in a long time. No thunder and lighting, but 40-50 mph gusts and some sideways rain. It about blew us over.
Yesterday, we had an appointment in Tuscon Camping World to have our dead refr changed out for a new one. Not the way we planned to spend our money, but a least we didn't have to wash dishes to get it done. We are truly blessed! Then came home and were setting up, again and smelled an electrical smell. Finally traced it to a faulty main breaker! He'd to run north to a Lowe's to find a Cutler-Hammer double 50 breaker. We are VERY thankful this happened when we were here and awake. Otherwise, the outcome surely would have been some level of tragedy. I don't think there was a failure anywhere, just vibration caused a loose connection and that caused heat and that loosened the connection more, etc. anyhow, glad for the way things turned out.
Today we have the bikes down, and may take a ride. Nice country for that. When I took the dog out before 7AM there was a lone biker, who had stopped for the night in the space next to us, loaded to the gills with bags and attachments, taking off in the predawn light. Probably going to New York or some strange place.
Travel safely, today, Pilgrims. Via con Dios!
