Thanks, Buckeye. I have been kind of busy with other stuff for a few days. We were surprised to find several friends from my other life, many years ago, have also found the desert winter to be compatible with older person's intolerance of cold, ice and snow. It's been really fun to catch up. For some it has been thirty years or so. Lots of stories of kids, jobs, and the money they cost! The really amazing thing to me is how universal is the wringer we all go through. Folks you would never think would have wierd stuff happen, then it's the kids that go out and find the wierd stuff! People, who you know are great parents, have kids on drugs and divorces, and all the misguided events we all know about. It hits everyone. The only difference is how we handle it.
We moved today from our dry camp site to one with water and electric. We're only here for a couple days, because of park being so busy this time of year. The dry camping with the generator, etc took some getting used to, but we're kind of old veterans at it now, so it will be easier to move back there Wednesday. And just think of all the money we save!
There was a tragedy near by last week. A climber lost his life on Superstition mountain. He was climbing alone, so not much is known about the details, but he didn't check in when his family expected him to, so they began the search. A good lesson, I thought everyone knew, don't hike alone in this kind of dangerous terrain. Anyone can loose their balance, no matter how good or young or in shape you happen to be. So sorry for his family.
Still, very much enjoying the sunsets, especially. Sunrises, I also see, due to my pup's wake-up schedule, but both are well worth the viewing. I have not found a spot, yet to do the long, dull task of resizing my pictures, so I will try harder at that in the coming days. Picture = 1K words, and all that.
Take care campers, and I will leave you with this "add-on beatitude" Blessed are the flexible, for the shall not be bent out of shape." That fits a whole lot of circumstances!
Be safe and Happy Camping, Y'all!
