The museum at Pensacola is good. Also check out Ft. Pickens. There is a real nice nat park campground there. If you want to camp there, you MIGHT be able to get reservations.
NOLA can be lots of fun. The WW2 museum is fabulous. Be sure to take in the movie. Bayou Segnette SP in Westwego is only about 20 min from the quarter.
Do you fish? If you do, Grand Isle SP is fun. Make reservations early. If you don't like fishing, there really isn't much point in going.
Have fun. Eat lots while in NOLA. It really is as good as you've heard.
