Flat Tow 2004 Pilot 4WD

Can I tow this SUV? I can get a great deal on one and will likely buy regardless, just curious if it can be towed flat.

  • I like Roadmaster products, go to their web site and put in your make, year & model and it will bring up pictures of their products installed on a like vehicle. I just had this one installed on my 13 CR-V, Roadmaster 521567-1 Tow Bar Baseplate, it is what they call a hidden bracket, I really like the twist off arms. I have installed base plates myself on previous car, this time had it done. Got a good price on Amazon.com. Regards, Dick
  • Well, I bought it. Really did get a deal from the dealer. Now what recommendations does anyone have for the hitch setup and can I install or should I have it done? I would like to have tail lights and all working if that is possible.
  • The 2004 MH Mag dinghy guide says it is towable at speeds up to 65 MPH. Get the owners manual should be directions on towing behind a MH. I think 2005 was the last year it was listed as towable. Regards, Dick
  • I think the 2005 pilot is the only one Honda ever Said was flat towable. Having said that,i also understand the tranny's are pretty much the same So probably can follow the instruction and be OK. You will be taking a chance. You can also check to see if there are any after market option that will allow you to tow it-
