Would like to hear from anyone Flat Towing a pick-up truck with a Trike in the bed. Which truck do you have (year, make & model)? How long is the bed? What year make model of Trike? Appreciate your thoughts at the beginning of our search for a Trike and Truck. Thank you for your time.

2chiefsRus,
It's been done many times. The person/member either on here or IRV2 goes by the username "Dupdyke". He's installed and worked with many, many trucks, short beds, long beds etc. fitting the Rampage in both regular versions and Trike adapted versions.
We're doing exactly what you're asking minus the TRIKE part. We tow a 2011 GMC Sierra 1500 Extended Cab 4x4 with a 6 1/2' bed. The Rampage itself, is right close to 300 lbs. That's not including the Trike adapter. I just read a few days ago of a Rampage lift, WITH A TRIKE ADAPATER for sale on a motorcycle forum. Don't know if you've already bought one or not.
Many folks comment about the Rampage not putting any weight on the tail gate, even while loading. Well, for us short bed folks, the Rampage hangs over the tail gate anyways so, for us, the gate is completely removed, while the Rampage is in the bed. Why carry it and potentially damage it (maybe backing around a corner etc.) if you don't' need to and, while the Rampage is on there, it's useless anyways.
The Rampage lift is a pretty good lift. I've used it now for about 3 years and there's been no problems what so ever. I'm one of those that likes to make life easy. I designed and built a cart that fits my Rampage to a TEE. When the Rampage is not in use, it resides on that cart. It takes me approximately 2-3 minutes to completely transfer and secure the Rampage from the cart to the truck, and ready for use.
When done using it, it takes the same amount of time to transfer it from the truck to the cart. The truck is back in service as a truck and has full use of the bed in no time.
