Flat towing
Considering purchasing 2015 gmc Colorado to flat tow. Can this vehicle be flat towed with no modifications

The Colorado 4x4 is flat towable but GM has a bunch of hoops to jump through before you get going. If you go the toad section of IRV2 there is a long thread on this subject. Apparently some owners are having trouble when they reconnect the power after towing. The computer acts up and they cannot get the transfer case to work properly. Not everyone has this problem. I would not buy any GM truck for towing until they solve this problem. Can you imagine getting to the CG and you cannot use your toad???? Seems like every year there are fewer toad choices. The new transmissions ( Ford) and all the electronics are the problem.
