It sure doesn't take me hours or even more than about your 10min using a hair dryer. Now before everyone says NO NO DON'T DO THAT. You put the hair dryer on high and high or med heat and keep it about 12" outside the door of the freezer and make sure you keep it moving. All you want is basically warm circulating air in there and then you can use a plastic spatula to scrap the ice once it's loose. This also loosens any ice on the sides and shelves which if you want a thorough job you have to do something different than just addressing the one back wall of the freezer.
