I worked at a car wash in west/central Florida back in the late 80's when I was in high school. I can't tell you how many brand new cars would come in with two weeks worth of love bugs plastered on them. I had many get angry when they would pick up their cars with the front paint pitted from the acid from the love bugs. When I get them on my cars I try to get them removed as soon as possible.
