Florida. The Sunshine State?

Yep, cold weather is coming through central Florida at this moment. Expect a hard freeze tonight and temps in 40's tomorrow. In 3 or 4 days we may see temps bouncing back up to 70's. I guess that's better than a whole winter of cold temps like they're having up north! :C

I've visited Arizona and other parts of the SW and like it - it's a nice change. But after a few days I need to see something that's green and alive.

Right now it's 78 degrees and sunny, my lawn is bright green, I have flowers in bloom, and across the street there is even a tree with blooming flowers. That's why we like it to rain once in a while down here.

Yes, it's going to be cold here on Mon and Tues but then the temps bounce back up into the upper 70's.

This is the dry season. I doubt if we get rain even once a week between November and about April. If you want to see real rain, come on down during summer. The word 'Monsoon' applies.

As I grew up in S Ga and spent many family vacations in FL, we always laughed at the sign that said Welcome to the Sunshine State as we crossed the state line. Think it rained more times that not. However, I will say that we do have rain and sunshine on the same day many many days of the year. Very seldom do we have cloudy dreary days on end.

It was 44 in Sopchoppy today but clear and glorious. We suited up and went for a hike. Canoeing tomorrow. lizzie

The high in Tucson today was 76. We are scheduled to cool down to the low 70's over the next few days. The humidity has been between 12 and 20%. :C

when I wrote that a 10:30 it was ... now it is 44 degrees ... man ... what a change.

70 in clermont? I must be completely bonkers, I was just outside and fahreezing.

Gotta have rain so people can drink bottled water. Besides, it's sunny here now ... but a cool 70 degrees.
