I am curious why anyone from out west would want to voluntarily relocate to the east/southeast?
We've considered moving south for numerous reasons. Warmer in the winter, less or no snow, less expensive cost of living and much better attitude about life-slower pace, laid back and not so stuck up as a lot of the areas around here. Yes, I can say that-I've lived within 25 miles of Boston my entire life. Of course it all has to be balanced with things like access to health care and hot/humid summers, but there a lots of reasons why.
