The park changed hands a little while ago and is part of Highway West Vacations who has other sites in Borrego Springs and Moab UT. Their job is to provide a service in an area where there are few options and to maximize their income. Your job is to decide if there is value in it for you. If you qualify for camping on military bases there is one some 20 miles west at Vandenberg AFB.
