I've never got fuel at a Flying J. Quite a few Pilot stations but none of those that I've been to have dedicated RV Lanes and there are no Flying J's on the way to where we've traveled in the Northeast. At the Pilot stations, sometimes it's tight getting in and out with my Gas truck and 5th Wheel. When we go South this fall, we will have the option of using Flying J's for fuel and I know many of them have dedicated RV Lanes. My question is..For those Flying J's that do have the dedicated RV lanes, do they have Gas pumps as well as Diesel pumps or just one or the other type of fuel or is it different for each place and a phone call to the store should be made? It sure would be nice to have easy in and easy out gas pumps available.

They have both. If you get their app it tells you which location have RV lanes and also RV Parking. Some Pilots have the RV lanes also.

Thanks! I just downloaded the app. I saw where it shows where the stations are but I didn't know it tells you if there are RV Lanes at them. I'll have to play with the app. It sounds like there's a lot of info in it.

Have stopped at many Flying J. They offer the convenience of RV lanes, free overnight parking spaces, dump station, propane, fresh water, and a sit down restaurant. They don’t always have the lowest prices but I value the amenities.

I'm ok with not paying the lowest prices. It's worth it to me to have the convenience of easy in/easy out.

Have you compared prices lately ?

With the new ownership, their prices seem to be right in line with everybody else "at the intersection" these days.

AND....with the 5 cent discount, in the past year I have NEVER seen a station in the south east (I-95 corridor) where they aren't a few cents cheaper.

YES.

And most are easier to access than the regular pumps......
BUT come in slowly and scope out the situation before you decide which pump to head for.

IF....people park where they shouldn't and/or some landscaping truck pulling a 40 foot trailer has an RV slot blocked while he goes inside to take a shower......an end slot at the regular pumps might work better.

It's absolutely worth paying more for convenience and less traffic. I usually stop at Shell stations as they are not the cheapest option and usually have empty pumps. Nothing against truck stops as I do use them too but they are busier.
