Grief avoided!
Use one of the several driving directions web sites for "to/from" storage facilities or campgrounds for driving *TIME*.
*Anywhere* in the So.CA Los Angeles area, even seemingly short distances (in miles) may equate to s-l-o-w traffic with lots of delays.
Avoid rush hours - and 2 hours before and after - like the plague..:(
Yeah - narrow window of opportunity, but really good between 1 to 4 AM. (no pun intended)
Also - *If* you choose a facility *North* of LAX, like SF Valley -
be sure to check for lane closures on the busiest freeway in the US - the 405.
On-going major construction results in lanes, partial (one direction or another), shutdowns through the Sepulveda pass between the San Fernando Valley and West Los Angeles..:(
Most closures are during off-peak hours with some lanes open, but the infamous "Carmageddon" was the entire freeway..:(
