folding ladders from CW on sale, reviews please

I'd suggest to buy a good quality 12' telescoping ladder instead of that step ladder.
Consider that your feet, when on the step ladder, will be only 5' above grade. That will not be high enough to access the roof and some folks will have problems reaching the gutters or the roof's aluminum trim edge. Also, if you're standing on the next-to-last step, there will be no hand hold to the ladder.

Folks that are marring the surface of their trailer when deploying a telescoping ladder should either wrap and tape rags/swim floats/pipe insulation to the top of the ladder's rails or use a "stand off".

I own about a dozen ladders and, after 45 yrs. of use, have come to the conclusion that not everyone should use a ladder. My wife will climb a ladder but once she reaches height and looks down will "freeze" from fright. Others are uncomfortable when on a ladder and it is an accident waiting-to-happen.

Very wobbly and not very stable, especially on uneven ground.

Hoping weight is not a problem. I am 175 or 185 depending on whether you ask me or my gf. Lol

I sold mine. I never felt real safe on mine since I was pushing the weight limit and it just did not feel all that sturdy. The other problem I had with it was if I got lazy and did not fold it up and store it away. If I left it open under the motorhome the joints would collect dirt and grit and it would not fold up easily.

It has a 225 lb rating. Make sure you or anyone who will be using it weighs less than 225 lbs. or it will be unsafe.

OP here. I just went to measure the tube holding my sewer line. Ladder will fit ok, however the spare is bolted to the tube. I was thinking of our last TT where the spare was mounted on the back wall.

On this one, Apex 214rb , the tube is welded to the ends of the I beams so I am thinking the weight is ok as long as Lynnmor suggested it is properly attached so it will not create a disaster. I would probably use some sort of straps and not rely on bungie cords which can break or come undone.

I have one that I keep in the pass-thru storage. A camping friend has one that he carries on top of his bumper attached with two rotten bungee cords, I don't follow him closely. I also have the six foot singled sided and it will fit in a 4x4 bumper. I also bought a 10-1/2' telescoping ladder at a yard sale but I doubt that I will ever use it because it would rest on the edge of the roofing material. I need to have my own yard sale.

Don't own one but I got to use one once and it was very nice.
