Watch how some people cook. Handling the food then licking their fingers etc. I was recently at a persons house who wanted to let the dog lick some dishes when we were done. I said I'll just put them in the sink. They said no, no it's ok let the dog have it. I set the plate down on the floor knowing that they hand wash the dishes in the sink with tap water. No dishwasher and the water heater is set so low it barely warm enough for a shower.
Yes, I do have problem with dishes that get shared with an animal who was just in the corner licking it's butt and they dont go through a steaming hot dishwasher. You have no idea what you get at a potluck or a restaurant. No, I'm not going back there and seldom eat out.
