To each his own ! I am currently president of a Texas camping club, and our thoughts are that anyone attending our rally's should not feel obligated to do anything that they are uncomfortable with. In other words, our members are there to enjoy each others company and accept each other with mutual respect regardless. So, dont feel uncomfortable, or obligated. Most people are just happy to share your company.
By the way, my wife is very nervous about eating what others prepare but usually samples a few dish's that she feels comfortable with.
