Where we spend the Winter we have pretty much ruled out the pot lucks. Lots of people (cheap) bring left-overs or such small quantities that it doesn't last long and of course you always have those that show up 1/2 hr. early so the can pick over anything that might be good right away. We never ate much at them anyway..prefer to cook our own meal.
