How else are the kids' immune system supposed to get developed???
Reminds me of the story about how a Mother of her first child deals with a dropped pacifier. When the pacifier dropped on to the floor, she would get out the pan, fill it with hot water, bring to a boil, and then boil the pacifier for 5 minutes. Then cool it under running cold water ... all before giving back to precious.
Then by the fourth child, the same Mother doesn't miss a beat as she bends down, picks up the pacifier, sucks off the dirt, and puts it back into the baby's mouth... All while making dinner and talking on the phone...
I don't throw away food just because it falls on the floor, that's ridiculous. Wash it off and down the hatch it goes... It is not like we all live in filth!!! A little dirt never hurt anyone.
