Statistics say more than 20 million people have food allergies, some data says 1 in every 13 children under 18 have some form of food allergies.
I don't think anyone is suggesting that people with HEALTH issues (allergies, compromised immune systems, heart issues, etc.) just suck it up and eat at the potluck.
This is about the folks who won't eat at a potluck because they don't trust other people. They don't trust other people to prepare food properly; they don't trust other people to store food properly; they don't trust other people to make good tasting food.
