Well, as it happens I have a right to flame about copyright laws in many cases as I actually own a few copyrights.. But....
My position is this: IF you own a legal copy (DVD) and you simply move that copy to a form that makes it easier for you to enjoy it,, and KEEP THE ORIGINAL LEGAL COPY (Do not either give away the original or give away copies) I have no complaint.
I only complain when you pass out copies without authorization. (or receive them).
IN my case, since the works I own are "Copyrighted Public Domain" only if you CHARGE for them, but that's another can of fish bait.
And I need to look up one of those recordings just now (I have rights to both recordings and printed matter, But the odds of any of you even finding my material ... Kind of slim)
