Ford Ranger

I was considering a Ranger as a toad and discovered just about all manual transmissions can be towed 4 down. Unfortunately only the later models with automatics and 4WD can also be towed 4 down. You need to check but I think that began in 2006 and one needed the Neutral Tow Kit as well as a reprogramming? It definitely wasn't doable in 2003 which was the years I was looking for. As others have said, driveshaft removal or driveshaft disconnects can make almost any Ranger towable.

I gave up on Rangers and got a VW Beetle instead. It was much lighter and way better on gas.
