- Two_HandsExplorerMotor Home magazine publishes a list of vehicles that can be flat towed. I think FMCA may put one out too. We flat tow (four wheels down) an Edge and have been very happy with it.

Do you have one and have you actually weighed it? I tow a Dodge Dakota 4x4 now and according to the scales at the dump it weighs about 4600 pounds with a full tank of gas and a little bit of junk in the extended cab. My motorhome tows it just fine but it's heavy and you can feel it back there. I wouldn't want to go with anything heavier but it's time to upgrade and it looks to me like the new F-150 may not be any heavier than the Dakota but Ford puts a range of weights down and doesn't tell what each specific truck weighs. I want the extended cab model with the six foot bed in 4x4. If it's close to 4600 pounds empty I'd do it as it would only be a few hundred pounds more with some gas in it. But I have pulled my Dakota with a 500 pound quad in the bed too which puts it well over 5000 pounds, so I have room to play. - JR45ExplorerWe have a 2011 Ford Edge Sport AWD great car EZ tow, also use the Air Force One.
