2015 focus, 11k miles running great
Can anyone tell me the best ford car that can be flat towed.2010 to present. Thank you for any help. Kenny. - irishtom29ExplorerI just bought a Fiesta 3 cylinder 1 liter Ecoboost, which has a stick shift. I haven't towed it yet but it weighs under 2600 pounds and the instructions for towing are simply to release the parking brake and put the trans in neutral. As an aside the car is fun to drive--great low end torque, very good pickup, great handling, good ride, getting 40.4 mpg driving around St. Augustine. This Ecoboost has
the "eco" and "boost" at the same time. - boomersooner198ExplorerGetting ready to purchase a 2016 F150 XLT 4x4, curb weight is 4,890 for the Supercrew with the 3.5L Ecoboost. See weights and other specs at F150 Specs
- DouglasCExplorerAll Ford hybrids are towable:
2006-2012 Escape
2009-2017 Fusion
2013-2017 C-Max
Also:
2012-2017 Focus
2012-2017 Fiesta (most engines)
2009-2017 Edge (most engines)
2009-2017 Taurus (most engines)
2012-2017 Flex (most engines)
Check owners manual under "Recreational Towing" of vehicle you are considering buying to be sure before buying! - Triker33Explorer
Yes, I know it's a toad, the question was the horse power on the motorhome engine. I have a 35 foot DP with a 330 HP Cat and I want to make sure it can tow the truck okay before I buy one.
I have a 34' DP 275HP Cummins and pull a 4,680 lb(scale weight) MKS 3.5L 365 HP MKS with no problem.
Other then getting 1 MPG less then I did pulling a 3,300 lb HHR.
But 20% Bio could cause some of the loss. :( - Bruce_BrownModerator

What type of RV are you pulling it with? Horse power on the engine?
I believe he means that's what he's towing, not what he's towing with.
I can answer the HP question though as I have the same truck.
The 2.7 is 325 HP, 375 # torque. Mine is as light as they come (I have a Super Duty diesel, I bought this one to replace my car) and it's rated to tow 7,600 #. It's just a great truck so far and I'm averaging over 20 MPG in mixed driving. The 2.7 is a gem.

Ahh, sorry about that - my bad. I totally read that one backwards.
This getting old stuff is tough! :B - the_silverbackExplorerI have had very good luck with my 2010 Edge.
