My only experience with this sort of thing was when I bought a 2013 Chevy 1500. The dealership promoted how "Warranty Forever" was included. I looked at the details and laughed. I told them I would void the warranty within the first 5000 miles. How? To keep that thing in effect, all maintenance of any kind had to be at that dealership and had to be done in accordance to Warranty Forever demands. Anything. About the only thing the owner could do was change the windshield wipers and license plates. And i did void the warranty right out of the gate by changing my own oil. Even called the Warranty Forever folks and told them.
Next pickup a 2015 2500, much more in line with what I needed compared to the 1500, I went to another dealer and avoided the last dealer. I was not going to pay for something that I will never use. Bad enough I have to pay for stupid stuff on a truck that I don't want just to get the things that I do want.
