This is the method I use with great results. I will pull the awning out prior to washing the camper then roll it back up while I wash. Unroll it when I'm done and hose it off, let it dry. - drsteveExplorer

I have used it for many years, awning always looks great, never caused any fading or deterioration of the material. Cheap, effective, and low effort. - Pop-Pop_CExplorerNot sure about the bleach?

- gloriebkjExplorerThanks all. I appreciate the replies. Looks like it will still take some old fashioned elbow grease!
- ScottGNomadBleach is fine on the awning - been using it for 30 years.
Try adding a little TSP to it next time. Works even better!
Or just use 30 seconds cleaner. It's the same thing. - wildtoadExplorer IIThere are some stains that nothing will get out, and if bleach doesn't do it, not much will. The trick is to leave on there for a while. The (my version) “formula” is about a cup of bleach per gallon of water, a couple of squirts of soap of your choice. Mix all this in a yard sprayer and spray the top of the awning liberally with the mixture. Roll the awning up and let it stay that way for a while. Unroll it and most of it will be clean. You may need to repeat and/or use a medium brush on a stick for the stubborn stuff.
- ksg5000ExplorerAny spray cleaner product that has bleach in it will work - think I use Tilex. Just make sure your lousy clothes that you don't mind getting bleach spots on - it's bound to splatter a bit when you spray/roll-up/rinse.
- 1LongbowExplorerUse the Mr. Clean Magic eraser cleaning pads .Thank me later
- myredracerExplorer III tried pretty much all the chemicals, Dawn soap, bleach and other methods known to mankind. Just couldn't get all the stupid little brown stains out left behind by tree leaves & needles. In the end I gave up trying to get it looking like new again.
If there's something that actually works on stubborn stains, please drop by and show me how to do it.
